Major improvements in underwater capabilities, such as the ability to sense water temperature & color, are featured in Osmo Action 4. The sea is a bit muddy and black here in the UK—not nearly as clear as the Caribbean’s! Thus, we put this to the test at North Norfolk’s Holkham Beach in the chilly British Sea.

We were pleased that the camera programmed the color temperature when recording underwater; the sand and water appeared more natural and didn’t have that off-green or blueish tint.

I had a lot to say about the form factor move when I evaluated Osmo Action 3, but in this case, not much has changed outside. One of the three microphones is hidden below the ‘o’ in the word “action,” and if the front branding isn’t prominent enough, you may mistake the device for an earlier version.
