After buying it, The question is how to use it in your DSLR camera. First thing, you have to fix the lens hood directly to the front of your DSLR lens. It’s working with better, wide-angle, telephoto, and zoom lenses. By creatively use with your DSLR, a lens hood can get you good photographs.

Types of a lens hood

Now days choosing the best lens hood for your DSLR camera is not so easy. Here is some best hoods I am using in my work. Usually, Cylindrical , Tulip  & Collapsible rubber are available.

Tulip lens hoods

Petal lens hoods are more suited for situations in which you’re using a large angle of view, such as using wide-angle or fisheye lenses. You wouldn’t want to use a circular or round hood, in these situations because the square shape of your sensor with a large angle of view will tend to catch the sides of the circular lens.

Cylindrical lens hoods

Cylindrical lens hoods Normally work in skillfully blocking stray light & save your day. The lens hoods frequently come with prime lenses or telephoto lenses. Still, they are commonly long. There is undoubtedly a small risk of the hood showing up in your camera frame. After all, the field of view becomes less when you start using more resonant focal lengths.

Collapsible rubber lens hoods

Rubber classical lens hood is classified as a circular or Round. Now; these types of lens hoods are ideal for most photography situations. Including telephoto and the reason you wouldn’t want to use these in wide-angle or fisheye photography as opposed to the pedal is that the square filter paired with the large angle of view could catch the sides of the lens hood, creating vignetting cutting out portions of the photo. It has three states, a medium now fully extended you can choose which one to use depending on your needs. The photography situation you’re in this state would probably be ideal for really bright conditions. Whereas if you’re catching some vignetting, you might want to reduce it to the medium or entirely collapsed eight.
